budget back to school!

Dress: C/O Macy’s Backstage

I can’t believe it’s already time for fall and back to school shopping! Where did the summer go? I am so happy to be collaborating with Macy’s Backstage, the outlet vesion of Macy’s to get some affordable and fun fall fashion!   I love a lot of things about outlet stores (of course the prices and savings), but one of my favorite things is the variety of items and this store did not disappoint.  I found a number of designer items that I love including this French Connection Dress. I was looking for some new and fun work items to add to my closet and this piece is definitely going to be a staple this fall and through the winter.  I also picked up a pair of Steve Madden booties, a beautiful lightweight jacket, and some makeup! Not only is the store great for clothing but it also has a great beauty section as well. I can’t wait to show you the other items I found as I start pulling them out of my closet for fall (this weather has been amazing!).  Check out Macy’s Backstage to see if there is a store near you & happy shopping!

Romper: c/o Love June Boutique:  Available in colors: Mocha, Black, Yellow, Mauve

I could not be more excited to be partnering with Love June Boutique to show you this beautiful romper. I am going to Charleston this weekend for a bachelorette party and I was looking for something that I could wear out on the town with a southern flair- can you say perfect match?  I love shopping at boutiques but sometimes I get nervous about the fit because I am not always used to the different brands. Here are some of my tips for shopping at online boutiques:

1.  Measurement charts equal a way of life! Seriously ladies, get your measuring tape out and take those measurements if you haven’t.  I really don’t know how I survived online shopping without having those.

2. Check the return policy.  Some boutiques will require a shipping fee for returns. This is usually something that deters me from ordering. I like to be able to have flexibility! Especially if I am not familiar with the brands or sizing.

3.  Check out the sale items!  A lot of times you can’t return these but you can usually get a really great price!

4. Look for stand out pieces. I am all about filling my wardrobes with classic staple items, but I think boutiques are really great for occasion shopping and unique items that you won’t be able to find anywhere else.

I hope you enjoyed these tips! I am so excited for a getaway with some fabulous ladies and I can’t wait to write a post next week about our trip, what we did, where we ate, and what I packed along with this romper!
